Sarnia police recover motorcycle stolen in CK

A Sarnia teen is facing a long list of charges after a traffic stop on Tuesday.

At around 8:30 p.m., officers on general patrol spotted a man operating a motorcycle without licence plates in the area of Maxwell and Napier Streets.

During a traffic stop, police learned the motorcycle had been reported stolen in Chatham-Kent.

The 19-year-old driver was arrested and taken to Sarnia Police Headquarters where he was held for bail.

He's been charged with the following:

-Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

-Driving a motor vehicle with no licence plates

-Driving a motor vehicle with improper licence

-Novice driver fail to surrender licence

-Class G1 licence holder unaccompanied by qualified driver

-Driving motor vehicle without a valid permit

-Driving motor vehicle with no mirrors

-Failing to have an insurance card

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
