OPP nab wrong way driver

Lambton OPP nabbed a London driver going the wrong way, twice Saturday night.

Just after 10:45 p.m., police encountered a vehicle travelling the wrong way while exiting the off-ramp to Highway 402 at Mandaumin Road in Plympton-Wyoming.

The 26-year-old driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving.

Shortly after being released from the traffic stop, the same vehicle was spotted traveling southbound in the northbound lanes on Mandaumin Road.

The driver was again stopped by OPP and subsequently charged with careless driving.

They're scheduled to appear in Sarnia court on November 7.

OPP said this incident highlights the importance of remaining alert and abiding by traffic laws to ensure the safety of all road users.

Anyone who witnesses dangerous driving behavior is urged to contact the OPP immediately at 1-888-310-1122.
