Polish World War II Exhibit coming to Sarnia

The Lambton Mall in Sarnia will be showcasing an exhibit highlighting the work done by the Polish Armed Forces during World War II.

The Polish Consulate is bringing the “Trails of Hope. Odyssey of Freedom” display to the mall ahead of Remembrance Day.

It features events and actions that happened between 1939 and 1947. This includes the attack on Poland by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, the conquest of Monte Cassino, and the liberation of the Dutch Breda.

The display will also tell the stories of Poles who started a new life in Canada.

It will be available to view during the mall’s normal hours from November 1 – 3, 2024.
