LPH investigating dog bite incident

Lambton Public Health (LPH) is looking to identify a dog and its owner involved in a dog biting incident.

The health unit said it happened at Blackwell Dog Park in Sarnia on Thursday, March 13 at approximately 2:30 p.m.

A victim was bitten by a dog resembling a mastiff, described as large, white coloured with brown spots.

The owner is described as a white male, between 40 to 50 years old, of average height, with an average build and a little facial hair.

He was last seen wearing a plaid flannel jacket and a blue baseball hat.

If the dog is not located and the health status is not verified, the victim will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.

Anyone with information about the dog or its owners whereabouts is asked to contact the health unit at 519-383-8331 extension 3533, or at 1-800-667-1839.
