Goderich driver charged in crash involving school bus in Grand Bend

Lambton OPP have charged a 38-year-old from Goderich following a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus in Grand Bend on Monday afternoon.

Police said the crash with a passenger vehicle happened at the intersection of Lakeshore Road and Parkview Crescent, just north of Pinery Provincial Park, at around 4:15 p.m.

While there were students riding the bus at the time, police said fortunately there were no injuries reported.

OPP said the driver of the passenger vehicle was charged with "pass - roadway not clear - overtaking traffic" under the Highway Traffic Act.

Lambton OPP is reminding motorists to slow down, prepare to stop for school buses, maintain a safe following distance and remain alert.
