Bright's Grove golf star Mike Weir will enter Canada's Walk of Fame this weekend.
An induction ceremony will be held Saturday, June 14, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Weir is best known for his historic victory at the 2003 Masters Tournament, where he became the first Canadian and the first left-handed golfer to win the prestigious event.
He has eight PGA Tour victories, and has represented multiple Presidents Cup International Teams as a player, assistant captain, and captain.
Weir continues to compete on the PGA Tour Champions circuit, where he earned his first win at the 2021 Insperity Invitational.
He was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2007 and inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame in 2009.

Off the course, Weir has been a strong advocate for mental health.
The Mike Weir Foundation brought in around $1 million of the $3 million cost for a youth wellness hub in downtown Sarnia, which opened its doors in 2023.
This year's walk of fame class features five other inductees.
They include diamond-selling rock band Our Lady Peace, five-time Juno Award-winning classical guitarist Liona Boyd, cardiovascular surgeon Tirone David, Dr. Samantha Nutt, and actress Tonya Williams.
