There will be another vibrant display of quilts at Lambton Heritage Museum this summer.
The bi-annual North Lambton Quilters' Guild Show runs from Thursday, June 19 to Sunday, August 31 at the Grand Bend site.
Curator/Supervisor Dana Thorne said the guild has been active for over 35 years and has exhibited their work at the museum for almost 20 years.
“We are thrilled to once again partner with the North Lambton Quilters’ Guild to present this much-loved show,” said Thorne. “Visitors will be delighted by the variety of projects submitted and the creativity on display. This quilt show always demonstrates an incredible amount of talent, experience, and skill. It’s going to be a beautiful summer highlight here at the museum.”
This year’s exhibit will include traditional quilts, as well as other handmade items like clothing, wall hangings, table-toppers, and accessories.
The display will also divulge quilters’ inspirations and memories associated with their projects, including why they chose certain patterns or techniques.
During the special opening weekend, visitors can meet members of the quilters’ guild, enjoy light refreshments, browse vendors selling quilting supplies and books, and explore the a quilting garage sale.
Regular museum admission applies.
