Residents and tourists will gather at Sarnia's Centennial Park over the next three days as the ninth annual Bluewater BorderFest gets underway.
The outdoor concert series will be held from June 19 to June 21.
"The venue looks in great shape, we're really excited with this year's lineup! Everything came together really well," said BorderFest Co-chair Mark Perrin. "We have lots of volunteer groups that are helping put the whole thing together and we're looking forward to having a great event."
Thursday night will feature country artists Chase Rice, James Barker Band, and Madeline Merlo.
The Fray will headline Friday night's show, which will also include Big Wreck, Sarnia's Kim Mitchell, and Econoline Crush.
Canadian rock band Billy Talent will headline Saturday night's show.
"He's been on our list for a little while and it's great to have them, very excited! They haven't been here in years," said Perrin. "We'll round it out with Hinder -- it's they're first time coming up here, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Faber Drive."
Perrin said VIP tickets for Saturday sold out a while ago but there are still general admission tickets.
Those planning to go are encouraged to purchase tickets online ahead of the concert, but Perrin said tickets will be available at the gate.
As of Monday, about 65 per cent of ticketholders were from outside the Sarnia-Lambton area. Perrin said many visitors are coming from the Greater Toronto Area and London.
"Quite a few people will be visiting throughout the three days, and I mean, that's great for local businesses," he said. "I know a few of the hotels are sold out and those are all great things that the event brings. Definitely, we want to see that local crowd pick up. We know a lot people wait last minute so we want them to grab tickets sooner than later."
Perrin had some reminders for concert goers, such as dressing appropriately since there's a chance of showers on Thursday.
"In our general admission area, you are allowed chairs and blankets," he said. "In the VIP area ... it's just the standing room."
There will not be a water filling station for reusable water bottles but Perrin said guests can bring in sealed water bottles. There will also be drink and food vendors on site. Attendees are encouraged to bring cash.
Organizers have posted a list of everything concertgoers need to know on Facebook.
