Sarnia Street Machines sets big goals for Cruise in the Park

The Sarnia Street Machines is celebrating its 40th anniversary and is hoping to see its largest turnout ever during the annual Cruise in the Park.

The car show, held in support of Pathways Health Centre for Children, will be held at Canatara Park on Sunday, June 22.

Spokesperson Kip McMillan said he would like to see over 750 vehicles at the park, ranging from classic cars and hot rods to trucks and motorcycles.

"I [also] want to see the largest single year donation that we've ever made to Pathways to help celebrate their 50th anniversary," McMillan said.

The local club has had a strong relationship with Pathways for 20 years. Club member Gail Adamson said Pathways has helped so many families in the community so they want to support them as much as possible.

The fundraiser will include door prizes, a silent auction, a 50/50 draw, food vendors, and live music by Scott Manery & The Barnburners and Borderline.

The car show will begin at 8 a.m. and will end at 3 p.m.

Admission is by donation.

Vehicle admission at the show is $15. Pre-registration is not required.
