The City of Sarnia is looking to develop an overarching design for Kenwick Park in Bright's Grove.
Parts of the park are nearing their end of life, and in need of revitalization.
Residents who use the park are being asked to provide their input and past experiences.
Sarnia's Communications Manager Steve Henschel said staff are currently working on the design.
"We really want to make sure the design reflects the needs and experiences of that Bright's Grove community, so that's why we're really moving forward with the public engagement at this time to inform that overarching design," he said.
According to Henschel, parks within the city are revitalized regularly.
Last year, the city was looking into revitalizing the basketball courts at Kenwick Park, and during that discussion council asked staff to look at an overarching design at the same time.

He said with this request staff thought it was a good time to get the feedback.
"A lot of the amenities there are nearing their end of life, so as we start looking at that maintenance and that revitalization it just made sense to have an overarching design, so any potential improvements can be folded within that revitalization effort. " Henschel said.
Some of the topics included in the survey are what current amenities or attractions people visit the park for, the overall condition of the park is and if the current amenities meet their needs.
Henschel said there will also be a ranking system for potential new amenities or improvements.
"Such as new playground or revitalizing the basketball court, pathway connections throughout the park, improved physical space amenities for the Farmers Market area, but we also want to have that broad open-ended input," he said.
The information gathered will be used to draft a design that will be presented to council ahead of the capital budget process.
Residents have until September 5 at 4:30 p.m. to provide their input.
