Lambton County OPP took five impaired drivers off the roads during the Labour Day long weekend.
Shortly after 2 a.m. on August 29 police were asked to come to the Blue Water Bridge by the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) about a possible impaired driver.
A 39-year-old man from Michigan was arrested and charged.
He is scheduled to return to Sarnia to appear before Ontario Court Justice later this month.
Under a day later police arrested a 23-year-old from Warwick for driving under the influence.
OPP initiated a traffic stop on London Road near Lambton Mall Road at 11:57 p.m. on August 29.
The woman faces impaired driving charges.
On August 30 just before 5:30 p.m. officers responded to a traffic complaint in Petrolia.
Police initiated a traffic stop on Petrolia Line near Oozloffsky Street.
A 54-year-old Petrolia man was arrested and charged.
The fourth incident happened just under five hours later in Grand Bend.
A traffic stop was conducted on Ontario Street. When police noticed signs of impairment a 5-year-old Brampton man was arrested.
The last incident over the long weekend happened on August 31.
At approximately 6:45 p.m. OPP received a report of a possible impaired driver on Chiefs Road South on Walpole Island First Nation.
A 36-year-old man faces charges for impaired driving and with the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
Each of the drivers received a 90 day licence suspension and a seven day vehicle impoundment.
