A 35-year-old man has been charged with breaking and entering after an incident on Boxing Day.
Sarnia police said they were called to an in-progress break and enter on Queen Street near Devine Street, around 10:30 a.m. on December 26, after a witness told police they saw a man attempting to open multiple doors before opening the window of a residence and climbing through.
It is alleged that while on scene, officers found a man standing inside a bedroom, suspected to be in the process of using an illegal substance.
Police said a search revealed body armour beneath his winter coat, along with a knife located in the chest pocket of the body armour. Investigation into those items is ongoing.
