Sarnia Sting captain Alessandro Di Iorio will be wearing the "C" for the Western Conference at the upcoming Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game.
As previously announced he, along with Sting teammate Beckham Edwards, are taking part in the contest January 14 in Peterborough.
Di Iorio was chosen second overall by the Sting in the 2024 OHL draft.
He recently competed on the international stage as a member of Team CHL at the CHL/USA Prospects Challenge, where he scored a goal in the second game of the series.
The skilled centreman has posted 17 points (9-8--17) in 22 games this season and previously won gold with Canada at the U18 World Championship.
Di Iorio is an "A" rated prospect for the 2026 NHL draft, according to NHL Central Scouting, which means he's a candidate to be taken in the first round.
Edwards received a "B" rating as a second or third round candidate.
The 2026 NHL draft will take place in late June.
