Sarnia police arrest Walpole Island man

Sarnia police have arrested a Walpole Island man for allegedly exposing his genitals to women.

At around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, police responded to Exmouth Street after reports of a man making vulgar comments and exposing himself.

Police say two women were in a car when the suspect approached. He asked them several inappropriate questions and propositioned them.

According to officers, the women asked the man to leave them alone, but he instead allegedly showed them his genitals while jumping up and down.

The women drove away and contacted the police.

Officers found the man in the vicinity of the incident. He was found to already be out on a form of release and had three probation orders.

The 31-year-old man from Walpole Island has been charged with committing an indecent act and three counts of failing to comply with his probation.

He remains in custody following his bail hearing.
