April is just around the corner, and it appears we are done with winter.
Environment Canada is forecasting temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius for Monday and Tuesday.
"Overall, the forecast at this point for the month of April indicates temperatures are expected to be somewhat warmer than normal. Certainly that's going to be the case for the next couple of days to finish off the month of March," said Geoff Coulson, a meteorologist with Environment Canada.
The daily high temperature is expected to return to single digits later this week, but Coulson explained that this is around normal highs for this time of year.
"As we head into the Easter weekend, temperatures bounce back a bit, back into the double digits, and we're looking at highs anywhere between 12 and 15 degrees for the long weekend. But it could be a bit of a wet one as well, with shower activity expected during the course of the long weekend," added Coulson.
He also explained that the first part of April will be wet, as several days should see rain.
