Sarnia man faces attempted murder and other counts

A Sarnia man is being held after being arrested for attempted murder and other charges.

Sarnia police say the case dates back to early 2026, and began as an investigation into alleged harassment and unwanted communication.

The suspect was first arrested on May 11, and was given bail conditions that included no contact with the complainant.

On Saturday, officers responded to a break-and-enter call at a house and found the suspect inside. He was taken into custody.

Investigators eventually uncovered evidence that resulted in an attempted murder charge being laid against Kyle George.

The 48-year-old man also faces charges of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, break-and-enter to commit an offence, criminal harassment, harassing communications, threatening communications, and two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking.

He has been remanded into custody. The charges have not been proven in court.
