Those who treat themselves to a Dairy Queen (DQ) blizzard during Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, August 13, will be supporting children's hospital foundations.
Net proceeds from every blizzard sold at participating DQ locations across the country will support 13 children’s hospitals.
Funds raised from blizzards sold in Sarnia will support the Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre.
Last year, DQ locations across the region helped Children's Health Foundation raise more than $118,000 through Miracle Treat Day, read a media release
“What makes Miracle Treat Day so special is seeing Canadians come together to support children and families in their own communities,” said DQ Canada Vice President of Marketing Candida Ness in a statement. “Year after year, our franchisees, staff, volunteers and fans show incredible generosity, helping local children's hospital foundations fund the life-changing care kids need to help them get back to being kids.”
To date, DQ said nearly $58 million has been raised in support of children’s health through Miracle Treat Day in Canada.
“With more than 3.9 million hospital visits in 2025, this kind of support is directly felt by so many Canadian children and families,” said Canada’s Children’s Hospital Foundations President and CEO Adam Starkman.
Sarnia's DQ location will be open from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m.
