Unpaid caregivers in Wallaceburg, Walpole Island asked for their input

Community Living Wallaceburg and the Ontario Caregiver Organization are inviting caregivers to take part in a survey to help the Wallaceburg and Bkejwanong communities shape future supports, services, and opportunities for them.

The Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO), formerly the Care & Share Family Network, provides funding through the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services to support families and unpaid caregivers.

Community Living Wallaceburg wants to hear from local caregivers through a Family Caregiver Survey, to help re-establish Care & Share Family Network and make sure it reflects local experiences.

"Improving family support in our region will strengthen our understanding of lived experience, bring forward the real-world expertise of caregivers, and broaden the diversity of perspectives that inform our work," said Roger Romses, Executive Director of Community Living Wallaceburg. "The information gathered through this survey will help ensure Community Living Wallaceburg's programs and strategic direction remain grounded in the needs of families."

The survey can be filled out until September 15. It can be found here.
