The Sarnia Sting will donate a portion of each walk up ticket sold for Saturday night's game against Niagara to the Sarnia Arena Revitalization Project. Donations will also be accepted on the concourse at Progressive Auto Sales Arena. A community fundraising drive is underway, trying to collect $491,000 to help revitalize the home of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Sarnia Legionnaires. The Brock St. barn as it is fondly called, has been a cornerstone of the city's hockey culture for almost 70 years now. The federal government is providing a third of the cost of improvements, while the city has approved a similar $491,000 expenditure. The facade and exterior will be repaired, the lobby and concession improved, washrooms and change rooms upgraded to become accessible, and the heating and cooling system updated.
