The Sarnia Sting are back in the win column after beating the Guelph Storm.
The two teams faced off at Progressive Auto Sales Arena Sunday afternoon with the Sting coming out on top 3-1, snapping a three-game losing streak.
Beckham Edwards opened the scoring in the first period with his team leading 22nd goal of the season. Getting the assists on the play were Daylen Moses and Jack O'Brien.
Guelph would tie the game before the end of the period as Charlie Paquette found the back of the net.
The only goal in the second period came from the Sting's Liam Beamish. His 10th goal was assisted by Ryan Brown and Mitch Young.
Matthew Manza would get an insurance goal in the third period for the Sting. Edwards got the only assist on Manza's 5th goal.
Goalie Nick Surzycia made 23 saves for the win.
With the win, Sarnia's record improves to 20-27-5-7, while Guelph moves to 18-31-5-4.
The Sting's next game is on Friday, March 7, on the road against Guelph.
