Sting Hang On To Beat Bulldogs

Sarnia began their busy weekend with a 2-1 home win over Hamilton.

Kevin Spinozzi scored his first goal of the season to give the Sting a 1-0 first period lead.

A power play goal from Mason Marchment tied things up just over five minutes into the second frame. That would be the only goal Justin Fazio would allow, stopping 20 shots to record his fourth win of the season.

Nikita Korostelev picked up his second assist of the night, setting up Anthony Salinitri for the eventual game winner 4:24 into the third period.

From there the Sting held the fort, limiting the Bulldogs to only five shots in the third period.

Sarnia continues their three game weekend Saturday when they make their first visit to Flint at 7pm. They will round out the weekend Sunday afternoon home game at 2pm against Sudbury.

Both games can be heard on CHOK.
