Lee Valley Opens In Windsor

Lee Valley is opening in Windsor Friday November 4, 2016 on Howard Ave. across from Devonshire Mall.

"The reason we exist for our customers is to curate or go an collect all of those neat, hard to find type products that you won't find just any where else," says Jason Tasse, chief operations officer.

The Canadian retailer focuses on specialty tools for woodworking, gardening, hardware and home products along with unique gift and vintage toys.

"Lee Valley Tools has historically focused on a very, very small part of the market which is our woodworkers and tool enthusiasts. Over the years we've created such an offering that's wonderful and can be shared with everybody. So we want people, we encourage people to come in a check us out and see what we're all about," says Tasse.

Starting in January the store will also offer seminars and workshops by industry experts in the fields of woodworking, and gardening.

'We're big promoters of working with your hands and providing the tools to do so but also the skills," says Tasse.

The Windsor location is the company's 18th store Canada wide. It will employ approximately 25 people to start.
