More People Getting On Buses In Windsor

Ridership at Transit Windsor has spiked.

A report shows around 6.5-million people rode the bus in Windsor last year compared to 6.3-million in 2015.  That's an increase of about 164,000 rides or 2.58%.

The industry average is around 2%.

Student and senior rides went up while adult rides went down.

Transit Windsor introduced a student U-Pass in September and increased fares in July.

Increased ridership means more gas tax revenue for the city.

Main lines like Transway 1A, Transway 1C and Crosstown 2 all perform well, while Lauzon 10 and Parent 14 are the worst performing bus routes.
