Transit Windsor says there will be some service disruption because of the vaccine mandate at the City of Windsor coming into effect Monday.
To date, 91 per cent of City of Windsor employees and contractors have confirmed their vaccination status or have had an accommodation approved. That's up from 78 per cent reported last week.
All remaining staff have been suspended without pay. According to the city, under 200 employees have not yet disclosed their vaccination status to the City of Windsor's Human Resources department.
A significant number of operations and maintenance staff at Transit Windsor have not complied with the vaccination policy. As a result, the service will move to an enhanced Saturday service as of November 21, 2021.
“Service will continue, but there will be fewer busses (sic) in rotation, and unfortunately delays should be expected,” says Executive Director Tyson Cragg. “This will not apply to the school extra busses; those will remain a priority. We apologize for any impacts and thank residents and riders for their understanding.”

No further service modifications were reported at this time.
