As of Thursday, Windsor Public Library branches are closed.
Instead, it will move to curbside service.
"To mitigate the ongoing spread in our community and to provide a sense of well-being to our customers and staff, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend in-branch services," said the library board chair and city councillor Rino Bortolin.
Those who need to laminate a vaccination certificate can still get that done.
With the closure, the library has enhanced online services to help customers access resources and answer questions.
"Your library card provides access to online resources for all ages, which can be accessed any time, and from anywhere," said CEO Kitty Pope. "We expect a surge in online use and the downloading of e-resources."
Customers can access materials by accessing their account online or by calling 519-255-6770. Once they get notified the order is ready, they can pick it up without an appointment.
Public libraries in Essex County have moved to curbside service too.
