A second incumbent on Windsor City Council wants another four years in the chamber.
Ward 10 Councillor Jim Morrison has filed his nomination papers, kicking off his campaign on Monday.
Morrison is the second incumbent councillor to announce his intention to run for another term after Ward 7's Jeewen Gill did so last week.
"It has been an honour and a privilege to serve the residents of Ward 10 and the City for the past four years," said Morrison in a statement. "You can count on me to continue to move forward on significant investments for our future, like the new Regional Hospital and the EV Battery Manufacturing Plant, which will ensure the prosperity of our City for future generations."
So far, Morrison is the only candidate running in Ward 10.
Candidates have until August 19 at 2 p.m. to file their nomination packages with the city clerk's office.
There will be at least two open seats on City Council in the municipal election. Ward 3's Rino Bortolin will not run for re-election, and Ward 4 incumbent Chris Holt is giving up his seat to run for mayor.
Incumbents Fred Francis, Fabio Costante, Ed Sleiman, Jo-Anne Gignac, Gary Kaschak, and Kieran McKenzie have yet to announce their intentions, along with Mayor Drew Dilkens.
The election is on October 24.
