Production to pause Saturday at Windsor Assembly

Hourly employees at Stellantis' Windsor Assembly Plant will be asked to stay home next week.

According to a tweet Thursday night from Unifor Local 444, which represents plant employees, Stellantis has cancelled scheduled production set for Saturday, and the plant will be idle all next week.

Workers are being asked to get further instructions from their supervisors.

"Stellantis continues to work closely with our suppliers to mitigate the manufacturing impacts caused by the various supply chain issues facing our industry," said Head of Communications LouAnn Gosselin. "As the situation continues to be very fluid, we are making production adjustments as necessary to minimize additional production impact."

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
