Organizers of Open Streets Windsor are looking for volunteers and vendors.

The festival closes 8 km of Windsor streets to vehicles to allow cyclists and pedestrians to explore the city.

The free community event is looking for vendors to host activities in each of the eight hubs that promote health, physical activity, arts, and culture.

"We're looking for businesses, organizations, individuals that want to host a fun and free family activity," said Michelle Staadegaard, manager of culture and events with the City of Windsor. "Things that people can pop into your tent learn about your organization or your business but do it in a fun way."

The event will also need around 300 volunteers that day to help with the street closures and direct people.

The festival is on Sunday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To register as a vendor or volunteer visit the Open Streets Windsor website.
