Renaud campaigning for change in Ward 6

Windsor Ward 6 candidate Jeremy Renaud, running against the city's longest sitting councillor, believes it's time for a change.

"I am a resident that is more reflective of the times that has a deep root in the community who can engage well with the people that have been residents for well over 50 years and the residents that are now under 20," said Renaud.

Incumbent Jo-Anne Gignac has represented the area since 2003.

Renaud believes he has what it takes to fill the role.

"I'm accessible, communicable, I'm engaged, I am willing to learn, to listen, to represent you. I will not ignore you, I will not cater to one demographic," said Renaud.

If elected, Renaud says he will push for safer neighbourhoods, more active transportation infrastructure and community collaboration.

He'd also like to see the city develop a park on the land of the former St. Louis and Concord schools.

"The original intent of the land that is there, as well as other lands, it was graciously donated by the St. Louis family well over a century ago and I am looking to honour the agreement where that land was to be always used as parkland," said Renaud.

Renaud's full platform can be found on his website.

Also running in Ward 6 are Dylon Graves, Ashley Lafreniere, Brian D-H McCurdy, and Beth St. Denis.

Municipal Election Day is October 24, 2022.
