Invest WindsorEssex's virtual reality cave got an upgrade through a partnership with Virtualware.
The new software allows businesses to utilize the VR cave from multiple vantage points using VR technology or a desktop computer.
"Anybody from across the globe can connect to this infrastructure. So if they're creating a simulation here utilizing the resources from the Windsor region they can now have people coming in, stakeholders from different parts of Ontario, from Canada, from North America to across the globe," said Michael Rosas, general manager with Virtualware
The virtual reality cave is accessible to all small and medium-sized manufacturers in the automobility sector.
The cave allows companies to leverage their digital assets and improve processes such as prototyping, reviewing design, product development, training and promotion of products and services.
"It's no longer just local, it becomes an advanced tool that you can work on anywhere, anytime, in real time," said Ed Dawson, senior manager of automobility and innovation with Invest WindsorEssex.
