Lakeshore monitoring roads closely as temperatures change

The Municipality of Lakeshore, like others in Windsor-Essex, is watching the conditions of its roads during this week's temperature swings.

The fluctuation of temperatures has caused potholes, cracks, and frost heaving to form on some roads in the Municipality.

"We understand the frustration of drivers during this time of the year and we’re asking for patience as repairs are made," said Lakeshore's Corporate Leader of Operations Krystal Kalbol. "Residents and visitors should drive to conditions. We also encourage people to report issues with local roads so our team can ensure we address their concerns across the municipality.”

Lakeshore has added more staff shifts, including on weekends, to conduct cold patch repairs.

Issues with roads can be reported to the Public Service Unit by phone at (519) 728-2700, or in-person at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre on weekdays during regular business hours.
