Police identify suspect in fraud investigation

Windsor police have issued an arrest warrant for a woman wanted in connection with a $130,000 fraud investigation.

In May, the Windsor Police Financial Crimes Unit started an investigation after a currency exchange business on Dougall Avenue was defrauded of $130,000 U.S.

Police have identified the suspect as Kayla Anne Black from Lowbanks, Ontario.

She is wanted on charges of fraud over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of another person's identification, identity theft, identity fraud, and uttering a forged passport.

Anyone with information on Black’s whereabouts or the investigation is asked to contact the Financial Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4330.
