Four displaced after suspicious Windsor fire

The Windsor police's arson unit has actively begun a probe into a house fire that occurred late Thursday night.

Windsor Fire and Rescue crews responded at around 11:30 p.m. to the location at Curry Avenue near Martindale Street, west of the downtown core.

The fire was soon put out with no injuries reported, though four people living in the house are now looking for a place to stay.

Believing the fire is suspicious, the arson unit has asked residents to check their dashcam or security camera footage from the time of the incident, and give them a call if anything unusual is found.

Anyone with information should call the Windsor police's Arson Unit at (519) 255-6700, extension 4330. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
