RONA donates $300K to Brentwood Recovery Home

A major Canadian home improvement retailer has provided a Windsor-Essex addiction recovery facility with a generous donation.

The RONA Foundation, the public service arm of RONA, has announced the donation of $300,000 to Brentwood Recovery Home.

The donation is part of the foundation's 2026 Build from the Heart campaign.

The purpose of the campaign is to help a construction or renovation project that aims to revitalize a living environment for people with disabilities or mental health issues, among other issues.

"I am extremely proud of how involved everyone was in our campaign again this year, whether it was our teams, our clientele, or our vendor partners," said RONA Foundation President Catherine Laporte. "The results we generated are a testament to our amazing collective engagement and real desire to make a difference in our communities. This initiative reflects our values and our commitment to truly contribute to causes that matter, especially in today’s economic context."

Brentwood will receive financial support from the foundation to build two fully accessible transitional housing units of three beds each, along with a new laundry service and a wheelchair-accessible outdoor trail.
