The Huron County Federation of Agriculture wants farmers to be aware of the upcoming public consultations on the province's pollinator health proposals.
Those proposals include an 80 per cent reduction in neo-nic treated seed use.
Huron Federation Vice-President Adam Garniss says these public consultations are farmers best chance to have their issues and concerns raised and to have a chance to influence what happens.
He points out the government refers to that acreage reduction as an aspirational goal.
Garniss says the consultations are a chance to figure out how that reduction would look, how it's put together and whether it's even realistic.
The public sessions include three on-line consultations December 8th, 10th and 15th.
The December 15th session will be in French.
There are also physical sessions planned for December 9th in London, the 11th in Toronto and January 14th in Kingston.
More details are posted on the OMAFRA website or you can call the Agricultural Information Contact Centre at 1-877-424-1300.
