Chair Addresses CFGA Financial Concerns

Some concerns about the financial status of the Canadian Forages and Grasslands Association were apparently raised at the organisation's recent annual meeting in Quebec.

Chair Doug Wray has issued a statement addressing those concerns.

He says the organisation's financial situation is not as grim as was suggested at the meeting.

However, he does admit CFGA will be on a tight budget for this fiscal year.

Wray says the association has built up a small reserve and paid off the start up loan received from the Manitoba Forage and Grassland Association over the past few years.

He says the Association's board is committed to the growth and development of the CFGA.

Wray says the board will be moving forward with the hiring of an Executive Director in the coming weeks.
