USDA Forecast Boosts Global Wheat Ending Stocks

The USDA says global wheat and soybean ending stocks will be higher at the end of the 2014-15 growing year than it forecast in December.

The department has raised wheat ending stock numbers by 1 point 1 million tons and soybeans by 0.6 million bushels.

However, the department's latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report has lowered it's global coarse grains stocks by 3 point 3 million tons.

Much of that is based on lower corn stock numbers expected in the U-S.

The department has also raised it's price forecasts for U-S corn, wheat and soybeans.

The USDA now expects wheat farm prices to average between 5.90 and 6.30 a bushel, corn 3.35 to 3.95 a bushel and soybeans from 9.45 to 10.95 a bushel.
