Ag-Ambitions Helping Youth Explore Agricultural Opportunities

A workshop coming up later this month in Clinton is designed to help young ag entrepreneurs develop a 'kicked up' business and marketing plan.

Spokesperson Meriel Cromarty says the workshop will go beyond the basics to incorporate what those young people are really passionate about and may even be able to offer some ideas those entrepreneurs may not have thought about.

The workshop is January 27th at REACH in Clinton.

It's free - and it's part of the Ag-Ambitions program.

That program is open to young people between the ages of 15 and 29.

Cromarty says they want to help them explore the opportunities available in agriculture.

The business plan workshop is one of many being offered by Ag-Ambitions, along with field trips, events and leadership opportunities.

The program supporters include Huron County, Perth South, the Huron Federation of Agriculture, REACH Clinton and the Huron Business Development Corporation.

More details on the January 27th workshop - and the full Ag-Ambitions program - are available through it's website (www.Ag-Ambitions.ca) or by calling 519-527-0305.

Cromarty says that support allows them to offer a wide range of free events to help young people explore the range of agriculture-related opportunities in the area.

Cromarty says the workshop will show attendees how to put what she calls 'the guts' into those plans.
