Ag Entrepreneurs Told To Brand Internally First

A group of young agricultural entrepreneurs heard about branding their businesses at a workshop in Clinton this week.

Karen Sample of 31st LIne Strategic Communications talked about how businesses can set themselves apart by establishing their own brand.

While most companies do that by telling people what they do, or even how they do it, Sample feels most miss the most important point.

She argues the process has to start internally, with everyone involved in the business understanding and believing in why they do it.

Sample says that conviction - that buying into the program - is what sets businesses apart and builds a brand.

This week's branding workshop at REACH in Clinton was part of a series of free workshops being put on by AgAmbitions Huron for agricultural entrepreneurs between the ages of 15 and 29.

Sample feels everyone involved in the business needs to understand why you do what you do before you can start promoting the brand.
