Grey Bruce Farmers' Week Features Something For Everyone

The 51st running of Grey Bruce Farmers' Week will begin in just a fortnight.

Each day is dedicated to a certain commodity or farm topic and will include speakers and panels to address those subjects.

Co-ordinator Lorie Smith feels the week-long gathering is important for producers in the area and across the province.

"There's no other agricultural conference that we're aware of that is driven by farmers. We also believe 51 years is probably the longest in duration and no other conference lasts for seven days," says Smith.

"It's an arduous journey so I know why other people don't do it, but I think it's important to have a day featured for each of the major commodities in Grey and Bruce."

Registration will be $25 at the doors of the Elmwood Community Centre with the exception of Horse day, which is $20 for adults and $10 for children and includes a hot meal.
