Crew Leaving On Good Terms

Outgoing Chatham-Kent councillor Marjorie Crew is wishing mayor Randy Hope all the best over the next term of council.

"I don't have any regrets," says Crew, who finished second to Hope in October's municipal election. "I wish him well in his endeavours and hopefully he can make some of his dreams materialize for Chatham-Kent."

Crew hopes to see the mayor create council cohesion over the next term.

"Include his council in decision making and the process because if you have a strong informed council you can only be stronger because of it and that will spill over into the community," says Crew.

Mayor Hope presented the two-term councillor with a gift at council's last meeting Monday night. Crew along with councillors Brian King, Art Stirling, Anne Gilbert, Jim Brown and Sheldon Parsons will not be returning when the new council is sworn in on December 1.
