Beware Of Thieves This Holiday Season

As Londoners pack up and travel for the holidays, break and enters tend to spike in the city due to the amount of homes left unattended.

London Police are asking you to beware and take preventative measures.

"Make it appear as if your home is occupied, even if it's lights on timers or having someone get your mail," says Constable Ken Steeves. "If you're disposing of your packaging, don't advertise to the criminals what you have in your home. If you get a flatscreen tv or a laptop, when you're disposing of the packaging, break it up."

Steeves says London Police will be out in full force over the holidays.

RIDE programs will be in place across the city in an effort to combat drinking and driving.
