Local Filmmakers Tackle Elvis Legacy

A new documentary that examines a legacy of Elvis Presley tribute artists is being developed by a pair of Chatham-Kent filmmakers.

Elvis: The Legend Continues will not only examine the musical legacy but the huge industry that has built up over time, according to Chatham-Kent director Florin Marksteiner.

"What he left behind, of course his music (and) he left behind almost an army of Elvis tribute artists, they are continuing his legend," says Marksteiner. "We are going to be following several ETAs, Elvis tribute artists, around the world with different stories, their good times, their struggles."

They hope to premiere the film January 8, 2017, which is the 82nd anniversary of Presley's birth.
