An innocent victim appears to have been caught in the crossfire of a shooting in Windsor, police say.

The bullet pierced through the front window of the man's red car clipping his shirt, witnesses say.

The man was shaken, but uninjured police confirm. Moments before, he was driving north on Howard Ave. at Erie St. when the shooting happened Wednesday afternoon.

Amanda Wraith was driving when she witnessed the entire shooting.

"That can't possibly be a real gun. Who sticks their arm out with a real gun," she says. "Then he slams on his brakes, the light had just turned green... and jumped out and there was blood on his forehead."

Police believe the shooting was targeted at another vehicle in front of the red car.

At this time no suspects are in custody, but officers are searching for a black Jaguar. Police are also in the process of obtaining dashcam video from the red car.

Meanwhile, Wraith says she didn't believe it was real until she saw the bullet casing on the ground.

"A car (black Jaguar) pulled up beside us going into the turning lane, stopped in front of the Nissan, fired one shot at a grey Sunfire, maybe a black Sunfire," Wraith says. "And then shot one shot at the Nissan."

Robin Vantieghan lives across the street and heard the two shots.

"I can't believe it. This is Windsor," she says. "There's a lot of kids on this street and people walking."
