What's Open, What's Closed This Thanksgiving Monday

All government offices, and most municipal services are closed for business on Monday. That includes public libraries, pools, and arenas -- unless you have already rented space.

But if you are looking for something to do, the Thames Art Gallery, Chatham-Kent Museum, and Milner Heritage House are open everyday this long weekend from 1pm to 5pm.

There’s no garbage or recycling pickup on Monday. Collection services will be delayed by one day this week.

City buses also won't be running on Monday.

Clinic services provided by the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit on Chatham's King Street will be closed.

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, routine X-rays, electrocardiograms tests, and ultrasounds are not being scheduled at campuses in Chatham and Wallaceburg.

Monday closures will also affect most of the hospital's outpatient services and labs, as well as the on-site pharmacy.

You'll have to wait until Tuesday to visit the bank or the post office.

Finally, you'd do well to make sure you have everything you need for your Thanksgiving meal before Monday.

The Beer Store and the LCBO are both closed, as is the Real Canadian Superstore and Giant Tiger in Chatham.

But you're not completely out of luck, Sobey's is open in the morning from 8am to 10am, and there's always Walmart, which is open for usual business from 7am to 10pm.
