A group of workers from Entegrus are on their way to Florida to help restore power to those affected by Hurricane Irma.
The crew of nine power line maintainers and supervisors left Wednesday morning for the Tampa area. Over 4-million customers in Florida are without power following the powerful hurricane.
Keith McAllister, vice president of engineering and operations at Entegrus, expects the crew to be gone for two weeks.
"It depends on the extent of the damage, and if parts of their electric system will need to be rebuilt," says McAllister. "The crew will have a better idea of what they're facing once they arrive."

The crew from Entegrus will be joined by workers from surrounding utilities, including St. Thomas Energy, Essex Powerlines, Bluewater Power, and Erie Thames Powerlines.
