Two crashes in one area
No charges will be laid following two separate crashes in Chatham.
Police said a single-vehicle crash happened on the Lacroix Street bridge around 8 a.m. on Monday. A 53-year-old Chatham woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after, a 34-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle when trying to avoid the first collision and ended up hitting another vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $5,000.

Vehicle hits wheelchair
Police said everyone is OK after a collision involving a person in a wheelchair Friday night.
Emergency crews responded to the collision at the intersection of King Street and Lacroix Street shortly after 8 p.m.
Police said the person in the wheelchair was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers added the driver was charged.

Man accused of stealing Canadian Club
A 53-year-old Chatham man has been charged for allegedly stealing a bottle of whiskey from an LCBO in Dresden.
Officer said the man left the store with an unpaid bottle of Canadian Club -- worth $26 -- a couple of weeks ago.
The 53-year-old was identified and arrested on Monday. He's charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.

Utility vehicle reported stolen
Chatham-Kent police are trying to track down a 2008 green Brister gator. The utility vehicle was reported stolen from a property on Rose Beach Line. The vehicle has a white star on the hood and is worth approximately $9,000.

Thefts in Chatham and Wallaceburg
Police are investigating a couple of thefts reported in Chatham and Wallaceburg.
A bright green "retro style" five-speed cruiser-style bicycle was reported stolen Monday morning, from a shed on Centre Street in Chatham.
Sometime between Saturday and Monday, a factory on Base Line Road in Wallaceburg was broken into. Electronics and tools were reported stolen.
Anyone with information to either case is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
