Sarnia doctor holding another free lockdown coping webinar

Sarnia-based Doctor Blake Pearson’s Lockdown Learning Series continues Wednesday night.

His third webinar will focus on the mental and emotional side effects the Coronavirus is having on individuals, couples, and families.

Dr, Pearson will be joined by clinical therapist and Sarnia native Meaghan Ferguson, who practices at The Change Clinic in Toronto.

They’ll be exploring the massive life changes people are experiencing right now and discuss practical strategies to help people cope.

Dr. Pearson said that could be things like job loss, working from home, home-schooling, caring for an elderly parent, financial insecurity, loneliness, and forced togetherness.

He said they’ll also be specifically addressing common parenting challenges and how to talk to kids and teens about COVID.

The free virtual event is being held from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Depending on public interest, Dr. Pearson said he’ll continue to run the seminars as long as we’re in isolation mode.
