Two new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported by health officials in Chatham-Kent on Monday.
The number of total cases in the municipality since the pandemic began is at 137. Forty-nine of those cases are currently listed as being active.
There were no new recoveries reported on Monday and the number of cases that require hospitalization went from zero to one.
Of the 137 total cases, 95 are the result of a workplace outbreak at Greenhill Produce in Kent Bridge. However, neither of the latest two cases were in connection to the outbreak.
Chatham-Kent has no current outbreaks at local long-term care or retirement homes.
So far, 77.4 per cent of the confirmed cases in Chatham-Kent were in urban areas, which includes Chatham and Wallaceburg. The remaining cases were in rural communities.
Twenty-seven test results are pending as of Monday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Provincial health officials reported a 1.3 per cent increase in cases on Monday from the previous day, bringing the province-wide total to 22,957.
Across Canada, the number of cases is at 77,306
