COVID-19 cases reported at more TVDSB schools

COVID-19 cases continue to pop up at public schools in London and the surrounding area.

On Sunday, the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) reported single cases of the virus were identified at Louise Arbour French Immersion Public School, Medway Secondary School, Stoney Creek Public School, Kensal Park Public School, and C.C Carrothers Public School.

The school board also reported another two cases of the virus at Westfield Public School and South Ridge Public School in Tillsonburg.

Parents, guardians, and staff at all of the schools have been notified and Southwestern Public Health and the Middlesex-London Health Unit are working to identify close contacts of the infected individuals.

“If you are not contacted by the health unit, your child is not considered to be at risk. The health unit will only contact those staff and students who have been identified as a close contact and will advise them to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 14 days,” the school board said in a statement.

More information regarding COVID-19 cases in school communities within the TVDSB can be found here.
